Transfer from JFK to Newark or Newark to JFK

If you are looking to transfer from JFK to Newark or Newark to JFK, there are a number of travel options available, catering to different budgets and preferences. You could use public transportation between both airports, take a taxi or book a private transfer in advance.

Airport Transfer between JFK and Newark

There are a few ways to travel between JFK and Newark, depending on your preferences and budget.

Public transportation

If you need to travel from airport to airport and prefer to use public transportation, you can take the train. This is the most cost-effective option, but the downside of it is that you need to change twice. If you have luggage and little time, then this is not advised, as you also need to buy three different tickets for this journey.

Taxi from JFK to Newark or Newark to JFK

Taking a taxi is a better option, but I would advise against it. Because JFK Airport is located in the state of New York and Newark in the state of New Jersey, taxi drivers can charge a special rate. They also often drive through Manhattan, where it can be very busy and will cost you even more.

If you do take a taxi from JFK to Newark Airport, then expect to pay at least $160 + two different tolls, $20 Newark Airport Surcharge and a tip.
