The bike pick-up point is located near Central Park, making it easy to cycle into the park and enjoy a picnic there. However, New York has countless other places that are also ideal for cycling and picnicking.

DUMBO

For example, you could cycle to DUMBO, a small neighbourhood in Brooklyn. You can reach it by biking across the Manhattan Bridge. Explore the cobblestone streets and enjoy your picnic in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which offers views of the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. On the way back, you can cycle across the Brooklyn Bridge for a view of all the skyscrapers.

Brooklyn Heights

You can take this route and cycle a little further towards Brooklyn Heights. This neighbourhood is located on the left-hand side of the Brooklyn Bridge. Here you will find beautiful brownstones, and the view from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade is also well worth seeing. Not only can you see the famous bridge and skyline, but you can also get a great view of the Statue of Liberty in the distance!

Hudson River

The island of Manhattan is surrounded by water, so you’ll find the East River on the right and the Hudson River on the left. Hudson River Park is built along the Hudson River and is the ideal place to cycle as it stretches for 4 miles (7 km). Some piers are also part of the park. One has a sports field, and another pier houses a food court.

From the bike pick-up point, you can easily cycle towards the Hudson River and find a nice spot to enjoy your lunch.

Central Park

An excellent choice is to cycle through Central Park. It’s approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) long and has many hidden spots that you can discover during a bike ride. You’ll definitely find a bench or a spot on one of the many lawns for a picnic in the park.
