Watching the World Cup 2026 in New York City
If you’re visiting the city during the World Cup and want to watch a match, there are plenty of sports bars in New York to choose from. All the bars on my list will be showing the matches. Sit down, grab a drink and enjoy the game!
How to get to New York-New Jersey Stadium
The New York-New Jersey stadium is easily accessible by public transport from Manhattan.
In my opinion, these are the best options:
- Take the train from Penn Station.
This station is located on 34th Street, which is in the middle of Manhattan. You can buy a ticket to Meadowlands Sports Complex and take the NJ Transit Rail to Secaucus, where you can transfer to the train that takes you to the stadium. Just follow the crowd! - Take the Coach USA Express bus from Port Authority, which can be found on 42nd Street. This bus will take you directly to the stadium.
- Take a taxi, such as Lyft. With three people, this can be cheaper than taking public transport. I recommend doing this only on the outward journey and going back by public transport because of the crowds.
