Bateaux Lunch Cruise in New York

The Bateaux Lunch Cruise in New York combines sightseeing with eating lunch. The Bateaux is my favourite boat to dine on. The sides and ceiling are made of large glass panels, offering a great view of Manhattan as you sail by, no matter where you are seated. Many highlights along the skyline such as the Statue of Liberty, One World Trade Center and the Brooklyn Bridge can be seen clearly from every table.

In addition to the large windows, the Bateaux has a number of outside decks. Take the opportunity to step outside for a closer look at the scenery or to enjoy the fresh air during this two-hour cruise. The cruise sets sail from Chelsea Piers. It is suitable for all ages, so you can choose to book for your entire family, or as a romantic outing for two. While you’re treated to a three-course meal, a pianist plays an array of Broadway, blues and jazz tunes. The pianist also shares some fun facts about the sites you pass. I’ve tested various (dinner) cruises and can tell you that the Bateaux is one of the most beautiful boats in New York. The lunch cruise is a good option if your evening plans are full of Broadway musicals, sports games and other activities. I also find the price/quality ratio really spot on.

Eric’s Tip: I was pleasantly surprised by this lunch cruise! You’ll always have a good view on this boat, no matter where you’re sitting. If you’d rather take a cruise in the evening, opt for the Bateaux Dinner Cruise in New York.
