Century 21 has always had a reputation as one of the best places to shop in New York. It was a huge store with many very good deals. The chain went bankrupt in 2020 and reopened in 2023. Since the reopening, the floor space has been halved, and the range of products is more limited. So if you know the store from before, then keep in mind that it has gotten smaller.

But it is still one of the most important New York department stores, with good brands, from Adidas and Levi’s to Valentino and Dior. I still think it’s a great stop if you want to go shopping in Downtown Manhattan.
