RIB-Boat in Manhattan
The high speed boat trip departs from Pier 25 at Hudson River Park – a different departure location to the sightseeing cruises. This is a less touristy part of New York and this boat trip is popular amongst locals and visitors alike. You’ll have a better chance of experiencing the ‘real’ New York than you would if you were to go on a large company’s boat tour. The RIB boat used for this tour is, without a doubt, one of the fastest in New York. The comfortable seating allows you to sit safely, without restrictions. At high speed, the boat heads towards the Statue of Liberty, where it slows down so you can take photos. The boat continues past Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, towards the Brooklyn Bridge, which you can see up close and personal. After this, the boat turns around to head back to the pier in TriBeCa. In terms of clothing, there isn’t much splashing water on this tour, so you’ll arrive dry back on land.
