Yankee Stadium in New York is the home base of the New York Yankees baseball team. The stadium is located in the Bronx and it has a capacity of more than 46,000 people. The current Yankee Stadium was opened in 2009, replacing the old Yankee Stadium, which had housed the New York Yankees since 1923. The old stadium was demolished in 2010. The present-day Yankee Stadium cost $2.3 billion to construct, making it the most expensive stadium ever built at the time.

New York Yankees Museum
You can learn even more about the Yankees at the New York Yankees Museum. This small museum showcases changing exhibitions on players, themes, and history of the Yankees. There are also permanent features such as the Ball Wall. It is a wall with over 870 autographed baseballs and various trophies won by the Yankees over the years.
With your game ticket, you can visit the museum 90 minutes before the game until the 8th inning. The museum is located right next to Section 210. New York City FC
In addition to the New York Yankees, the football club New York City FC also plays at Yankee Stadium. The MLS football season runs from early March to late October, coinciding with the Yankees’ season. Depending on which team is playing that day, Yankee Stadium is transformed into NYC FC Stadium or vice versa.
Concerts at Yankee Stadium

Practical Information
The easiest way to get to Yankee Stadium is by subway. The metro station where you need to get off is called 161 St-Yankee Stadium, and it is impossible to miss the stadium from here. Lines D and 4 take you directly from Manhattan to Yankee Stadium.
