Please note that New Yorkers tend to behave differently towards you as a tourist. They jump the queue at traffic lights, grab your taxis, and when queuing at the checkout make hissing sounds and tap their feet impatiently. Do not be surprised if New Yorkers give you a funny look when you ask for directions. New Yorkers are wary of everything.
