Opening Hours during Public Holidays
In the city that never sleeps, most public holidays don’t have a major impact on the opening hours of businesses. Public institutions like banks, post offices and government buildings are most likely closed, but New York is a popular destination during holidays, so most attractions and shops will be open. With the exception of the biggest holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s. On these days, major attractions will be closed and there are perhaps only a few Broadway performances available. What remains open will have modified opening hours. There will still be quite a few activities open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.
